What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a modified state of consciousness close to the state of sleep but different in nature. Under hypnosis the subject is always conscious, the body is fully relaxed and the mind is more focused. Therefore the mind is more alert and receptive than in the awakened state. There is the outer consciousness and the inner consciousness also named subconscious. During hypnosis we work with the subconscious mind as it allows to integrate positive suggestions without judgment and the intervention of the critical mind.
What is an hypnotic trance?
An hypnotic trance is close to the state of daydreaming, in fact every one of us has already experienced this state. Remember when you were in school sitting in the classroom and you were watching outside the window? Then suddenly the teacher called your name and you were brought back to where you were. Or when you drive your car from one place to another without remembering anything of the road you drove? Without knowing it you were experiencing a state very close to hypnotic trance.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a method used by hypnotherapists to induce a relaxed state that enables the subject to access is subconscious mind and all the information it contains for his healing. We use regression therapy to reconnect with a cause or source of a problem, disease, emotional wound, trauma, negative behavior pattern.
The hypnotherapist only treats what emerges from the subject and will never be intrusive. Only the issues discussed before the session with the client will be addressed. Guided by the therapist’s voice it is the subject himself who will automatically reconnect to the information he needs here and now through his subconscious mind.
What hypnosis is not:
-A form of mind control: It is impossible to hypnotize someone against their will or make him say or do something he doesn’t want to.
